Dr. Joseph Dellarusso answers LASIK questions

Dr. Joseph Dellarusso, one of the most experienced and well know lasik eye surgeons, operating out of New York and New Jersey, provides answers to the most common questions that trouble Lasik patients and surgery candidates.

He has become one of the most popular Lasik eye surgeons in the USA, currently serving 50,000 visitors each month. He gives advice about everything related to lasik surgery, but maybe most about his own method of all laser lasik and his invention of the up side down cutting of the flap before applying the lasik laser.

Dr. Dellarusso is one of the nation’s most well-known Lasik eye surgeons, one of the few who worked with FDA. That work led to the FDA to approve the Excimer Lasik technology. After the Lasik laser approval, Dellaruso noticed that a lot of people was wondering about the lasik procedure. They had many questions about LASIK that needed answers about the eye surgery called lasik.

Joseph Delarusso tried to provide an objective source of Lasik eye surgery information, without any bias towards his own lasik eye surgery clinics.

Delarusso Laser Vision centers owned and managed by Dr. Delarusso and his sons, answers most of the questions that people have about the lasik procedure. With the introduction of the all laser lasik, made possible by the IntraLase laser for bladeless lasik eye surgery the questions multiplied. Was this a safer way to do lasik surgery?

The answer to that must be yes. It gives more precision to the cutting of the corneal flap. But, it comes at a cost. The price of all laser lasik is more expensive than traditional lasik. This is because the company who makes the IntraLase lasik laser charges per surgery.

Some of the questions people asks Dr. Joseph Delarusso includes how long does Lasik last and how old do you have to be for a laser eye surgery. Delarusso says that others choose to ask personal questions with a lot of detailed information, which has sometimes prefers to answer privately.

By the way, you have to be 18 for lasik eye surgery.

This is not the only public service Dr. Joseph Delarusso has developed. In his blog (www.drdellorusso.com) in which he writes about new laser eye surgery technologies and everything else about lasik, as the development of Lasik eye surgery since he became a lasik eye surgeon himself.

Delrusso recognized the opportunities in lasik eye surgery early on, and set up two practice sites back in the early lasik days. Dr. Delorusso reports that overall his clinics are getting many patients from his online websites.

Dr. Delarusso wants to emphasize that the information on Lasik he gives represents the opinions of Delarusso Laser Vision and is not lasik medical advice of any kind nor a substitute for a consultation with a lasik eye doctor or surgeon. Delarusso Laser Vision welcomes questions and will continue to answer as many they can.

Delarusso All LASIK

Dr. Joseph Delarusso said that NASA has approved, for the first time ever, the laser eye surgery technique Dr. Delarusso invented and calls all-laser Lasik, to improve the vision of its astronaut candidates. This is a great relief for many people who have previously failed the vision tests.

Dr. Delarusso started the all-laser Lasik surgery in his New York City office back in 2002. Dr. Dellarusso marketed the all laser lasik as a safer and more precise lasik, as there are no manual steps involved, only precision LASIK laser. This kind of laser used is often know as IntraLase Lasik, after the first laser invented for the purpose of cutting the flap in the cornea.

NASA will now accept candidates that previously failed the vision requirement if they undergone a Lasik procedure, or more presicley, the bladeless all laser lasik performed by Delarusso in New York and New Jersey. The procedure must be performed without the use of a blade, which is known as Intralase Lasik or all-laser Lasik. Traditional LASIK surgery using non laser cutting of the cornea is not approved.

NASA is following the lead by other branches of the US military which after an extensive study determined that all-laser lasik, or bladeless lasik, or Intralase Lasik, is safe for the military, especially for soldiers in combat.

The extreme conditions of NASA pilots, mission specialists make even simple contact lenses intolerable. More astronaut candidates with vision problems will now qualify.

The decision by the military and NASA reflect how safe this type of lasik is now considered.

Doctor Joseph Delarusso said and continued;

Lasik surpasses in safety even the wearing of contact lenses.

Lasik is the most popular self-improvement surgery in the US with over 11 million lasik eye surgery procedures performed since 1996. Until introduced by Dr. Delarusso in 2002, the lasik procedure was performed with the use of a blade, which was unfortunately associated with some complications.

The intralase all-laser lasik is now the standard form of lasik surgery, says Dr. Delarusso. Dr. Delarusso’s offices has been proud in being the first in recognizing the safety and precision of all laser lasik and has been the intralase lasik pioneer over the past five and a half years.
